Using the Sketch Modify Tool

To rotate an entire sketch in SOLIDWORKS, follow these steps:

1. In an active sketch, click Modify Sketch from the Sketch toolbar or Tools > Sketch Tools > Modify from the menu.
2. Select the sketch entities you want to rotate.
3. Click the Rotate tool from the Modify Sketch toolbar.
4. Specify the rotation angle and click OK.

Using the Rotate Sketch Command

Alternatively, you can use the Rotate Sketch command to rotate a sketch:

1. In an active sketch, click Tools > Sketch Tools > Rotate Sketch from the menu.
2. Select the sketch entities you want to rotate.
3. Specify the rotation angle and click OK.

Editing a Rotation

To edit a rotation, double-click the rotation feature in the Feature Manager Design Tree. You can then modify the rotation angle or select different sketch entities.

Tips

• Hold down the Ctrl key to rotate the sketch around the cursor.
• Use the View Cube or View Toolbar to orient the sketch before rotating it.
• You can also use the Measure Tool to measure the rotation angle.
